Video’s Edited
For this video being the first one tasked to edit it came out rough. This was to show that we were able to create clips for a later project the class would have to do. This was a quick edit that included five clips that we had to capture. This edit was the first one I did for sports field production.
In this edit we were given drone footage taken. We were tasked to use multiple different clips and to add in music. Although this is not sports related it was helpful to be able to use the editing software. This edit was a pretty good edit that I was able to create and it is a short sample of work that was done in the class throughout the semester. These clips were taken in Portland, ME.
In this edit I was tasked to create a day in the life video of a classmate from class. I did my day in life on Courtney Peltak. This day in life showcases multiple things learned in class that i was able to incorporate into my editing. I was able to interview Courtney using the rule of thirds. This was a tough edit to create because I had to remove all of my voice from it and showcase her. I was able to add in some of her high school soccer clips as well as pictures with friends. This project was the first major project we were tasked with.
In this edit the class took a field trip the football stadium. This was a fun project because we were able to do sports production. This project was a quick edit and we did have free reign on what we wanted to do for the edit. This was fun to be able to have a class period on the football field and learn how to shoot differently when it comes to sports. This was not my best edit as I did not get the coloring right. Overall this was a fun project to do and be able to get experience on the football field recording was a fun experience.
This was out final project for the class. In this I was tasked to film and edit a day in life video with someone who has some relation to sports so it would fit under the sports field production. For this I chose to do it on one of my team members Mike Sullivan. This project was multiple weeks that acted as our final project. This was to showcase what we have learned through the whole semester. The highs of this project I was able to have the interview done in a great spot using the rule of thirds. The lows of this project were that I did not get as many clips as I would have liked to but I was able to make it work with what I had. Overall this was a fun project to do and I was able to learn more about Mike and his path he took in football.
