Paper three consisted of me having to find an issue in the United States. This issue had to include polarization and how we could bridge the gap between both arguments of the issue. In my third paper I was able to connect “Unfollow”, by Adrian Chen, how a solution to the issue I chose could be resolved if both parties were able to come together and talk about how they see both sides of the issue. Over the course of the semester my writing has improved greatly. With this being said my ability to be able to locate and evaluate appropriate sources has improved. I have been able to locate strong sources, as well as important sources. This skill has helped me be able to locate quotes to use in my papers. In my final writing for the semester I was able to make text to text connections from text we had read for class to what my topic was about. This became a helpful skill because I was able to connect my paper together and, create it to become a strong final assignment. The relation ship I have been able to make between my ideas and sources has been beneficial since the first paper I have wrote. The quality of my explanations of relationships between ideas and textual evidence has gotten better since the first paper where I would struggle to be able to connect evidence. Throughout the semester I have been able to get better at the correct formatting of my paper and being able to format my papers in MLA. I have also been able to format my citations correctly and make sure they are in proper MLA citation form. My final skill I have been able to get better at was my ability to proof read my own work and correct my grammar issues. With these skills my writing has improved because I am able to take these skills and apply them to my papers.
